Creative Dining Services is looking to hire part-time General Food Service/Deli workers at our location on The University of Saint Francis campus in Fort Wayne, IN! General Food Service/Deli workers perform a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. May assist in set up and service; and collection of garbage/trash; as appropriate to the area of operation. May serve food to customers and/or perform cashiering duties, as appropriate.
**The hours for this part-time deli/taco station position will be: Monday through Thursday (off around 6pm) & Friday (off around 3pm)**
Core Responsibilities of the General Food Service/Deli Worker:
- Cleaning and stocking for a Deli/Taco station
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages.
- Serves food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served. As needed, replenishes foods, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stations; may order and replenish condiments.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic reading and math skills
- Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location
- Foodservice/hospitality experience preferred
- ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required
