What are the responsibilities and job description for the Countertop Templater (CAD Experience Required) position at Creative Countertop Solutions?
About Us
Since 2009, Creative Countertop Solutions has designed, fabricated, and installed custom countertops for homeowners, builders, and commercial clients across Middle Tennessee. We work with quartz, granite, marble, solid surface, and laminate, and we partner with leading brands including Cambria, Silestone, and LivingStone. Our in-house designers, Customer Care Center, and indoor slab gallery give customers a great experience from selection to install. Accurate templating is where every one of those projects starts, and we’re looking for a pro to join our team.
What You’ll Do
- Visit residential and commercial job sites to measure and template kitchens, baths, vanities, and commercial countertops
- Capture precise measurements with digital templating equipment
- Produce clean, detailed CAD drawings for our fabrication team, including seams, overhangs, cutouts, edge profiles, and backsplashes
- Verify sink, faucet, cooktop, and appliance specs with homeowners, contractors, and designers
- Identify site issues early, such as out-of-level cabinets, out-of-square walls, or missing supports, and communicate solutions
- Coordinate with our designers, Customer Care, fabrication, and install crews to keep projects on schedule
- Represent Creative Countertop Solutions professionally in customers’ homes and on job sites
What We’re Looking For (MUST HAVES or Application will be rejected)
- 1–2 years of countertop templating or stone/solid surface fabrication experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)
- Experience with digital templating systems (LT-55, Proliner, Laser Products, or similar) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with slab layout or shop software (SlabSmith, Moraware, etc.) is a plus
- Commercial project experience is a plus
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to read cabinet layouts and plans
- Clear, friendly communication with customers and builders
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to [50] lbs and work in a variety of job site conditions

Schedule
Monday–Friday, [7:00 AM–4:00 PM], with occasional Saturdays as needed
