Art Instructor at Creative Color Art Studios
Creative Color Art Studios is searching for an experienced, local artist/art teacher who enjoys helping others create art. We are in search of an art instructor for our adult workshop programs, and curriculum and art demo development.
Instructors also have the opportunity for more hours and work through teaching a variety of programs including adult Sip & Paint classes, Corporate Events, Kids’ Birthday Parties, Family Art classes and more. Instructors guide students, ages 6 to 86, through a step-by-step painting method while enjoying a fun and inspiring environment. Our classes take place at our award-winning lakeside studio on McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. Teaching opportunities are part-time during the evenings and on weekends and the schedule is flexible.
Other opportunities include teaching during our Summer Fine Art Camp during the months of June and July. Summer instructors work approximately 25 to 30 hours a week for 6 to 10 weeks.
This is a part-time position with flexible hours of approximately 10 - 20 hours a week with additional opportunities for more hours in the summer.
Additional hours are available weekly for supplemental programs, including private events, offsites, private lessons, and public events. Training hours and start date will be set up based upon mutual schedules and training is paid.

Responsibilities
- Create a culture of creativity, enjoyment, and safety as we strive to provide a nurturing and art enriching educational environment
- Prepare, set up, and clean up art materials and supplies for classes and events
- Uphold studio core values throughout all classes and events
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that encourage students to develop styles and express themselves through the medium of art
- Demonstrate various elements of art and introduce techniques and procedures for painting, sketching, sculpting, etc.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to execute quality acrylic paintings, watercolor paintings, charcoal, graphite, and pastel drawings in various painting styles
- Must be outgoing and comfortable in front of crowds of all ages
- Must be flexible to accommodate various class dates and times
- Great customer service skills handling customers and potential customers
- Background in art education or art instruction experience
- Be able to lift canvas boxes and other art supplies
Education and Training
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, art education preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and art experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as those listed above.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
