We are seeking a Senior Brand Identity Design Lead to guide and steward a large-scale corporate brand. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evolving visual identity systems used across the organization. The Design Lead will own major visual identity initiatives, ensure brand consistency, and provide strategic and creative leadership to internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders. This position requires a deep understanding of brand systems, strong design methodology, and the ability to influence, educate, and drive adoption throughout the organization.
Duration: Full-time, direct hire
Location: Onsite, 5 days per week, near the Atlanta Airport
Responsibilities
- Lead the creative vision and development of design systems and brand extensions in collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Develop, refresh, and maintain visual identity systems to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment across all touchpoints
- Create strategic design briefs outlining objectives, strategy, and deliverables
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, internal teams, agencies, vendors, and additional stakeholders
- Stay current on competitive landscape and emerging design trends
- Manage budgets, timelines, project planning, communication, and details across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Provide creative consultation and feedback to internal teams and external partners
- Present and communicate design concepts to influence senior stakeholders and gain alignment on creative direction
- Manage and strengthen partnerships with creative agencies and external vendors
Brand identity work may include:
- Visual identity systems
- Digital design systems
- Environmental graphic guidelines
- Photography guidelines
- Brand extension guidelines
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
- 6 years of experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in brand identity and development of large-scale visual identity systems
- Portfolio showcasing strong brand identity work and typography expertise
- Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to understand, specify, and manage color standards for both print and digital
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and work management platforms
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
