Our client, a University in Nashville, TN is looking for an experienced Social Media Content Creator to to join their team in a freelance capacity!
This is a 5-6 month opportunity with an estimated 15-20 hours per week and a flexible onsite/WFH schedule. The ideal candidate will have their own laptop and strong skills in reaching high school-age audiences through platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, as well as targeting college parents and prospective graduate students on Facebook and LinkedIn.
As a Social Media Content Creator, you will work closely with the Admissions team while collaborating with University Marketing and in-house Social Media coordinators. Your primary goal will be to increase engagement on the Universities Admissions accounts and help strategize on their college-level accounts, resulting in more applications/enrollments for Fall 2025.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage a social media calendar for the admissions team
- Develop creative content (video static) and utilize a bank of crafted content to increase followers and engagement
- Strategize and collaborate with social coordinators of the 10 undergrad colleges
- 70% of your time is focused on admissions accounts vs 30% focused on individual college accounts
- Track analytics community engagement
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and incorporate some of them into content strategies
- 2 years of experience in social media content creation
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and the client's target audiences
- Proficient with Canva
- Experience with Loomly or similar social media management platforms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Higher education or lifestyle experience is a bonus
- Passion for higher education and the ability to effectively convey the university's brand and message through social media
