Our Higher Education client is seeking the support of an Email Marketing Specialist for a 40hrs a week contract-to-hire opportunity.
This position is hybrid onsite 3x a week in South Scottsdale.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SMS, and communications around it.

Email Marketing Specialist Responsibilities
- Build and optimize multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, app notifications, voicemail) in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design communication flows and ensure consistent branding.
- Plan and execute webinars, providing logistics and performance reporting.
- Create and review content aligned with brand guidelines.
- Use data, journey mapping, and testing to improve engagement and conversion.
- Partner with CRM and enrollment teams on segmentation, automation, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with email and data privacy laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Education, or related field AND 3-4 years of relevant experience (depending on version confirmed); OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates verifying mastery of tools/techniques may substitute for up to 6 months of experience.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, AMPScript, responsive email design).
- Proven track record in campaign development, execution, and analysis.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce), SMS campaigns, and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience in higher education marketing and data-driven campaign optimization.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Cloud.
