Overview Of The Role

Our global consultancy firm client is seeking a strategic and visionary Creative Director to lead the creative direction for immersive, large-scale experiential events. This role is ideal for a conceptual thinker and storyteller who can translate brand strategy into compelling, multi-sensory experiences across digital and physical environments. You'll guide a team of creatives, shape the attendee journey, and ensure every touchpoint aligns with business objectives and brand identity.

This position plays a pivotal role in delivering high-impact creative that resonates with B2B audiences. Experiential event work MUST be a primary part of your previously held roles. In addition to being creative and strategic thinkers, you must also have hands-on experience in conceptualizing event spaces and being able to shepherd creative ideas from inception to on-site activation.

The Basics

  • Duration: Ongoing (with potential for contract-to-hire, though not guaranteed)
  • Hours: Full-time (approx. 40 hours/week)
  • Location: Primarily remote (day-to-day) with travel for events.
  • Travel: Estimated 6-8 trips per year, primarily in the fall for site visits and onsite event execution. First major event attendance expected in November.
    • Candidates within an hour of the following areas are eligible to apply: Atlanta, Chicago (both highly preferred), Dallas, New York, Houston, Cleveland, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia.
      • Candidates located in New Jersey, California, Connecticut, Washington are ineligible to apply.
  • Compensation: Hourly rates on W2 may vary depending on your current location.
Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • Experiential/Immersive Events Expert: Proven ability to lead creative concept development and storytelling for immersive, large-scale experiential events with a strong portfolio that clearly outlines your individual contributions.
  • B2B Brand Strategy Expertise: Deep understanding of B2B with expertise in brand application and creative strategy in a B2B context, with the ability to translate business goals into cohesive event narratives.
  • Leadership & Technical Oversight: Experience managing and mentoring creative teams (at least 6-10 direct reports in previous roles), with hands-on knowledge of technical production processes, including building and adapting large creative files.

Other Qualifications

  • Strong storytelling ability with polished communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior and executive-level stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate a creative vision across digital and physical formats, including 360 spatial design and structural adaptation
  • Comfortable leading brainstorming sessions, providing feedback, and fostering team development
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Workfront, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative vision and strategy for immersive experiential events, branded activations, and sponsorships
  • Develop compelling narratives and concepts that guide attendees through a cohesive brand story
  • Apply brand strategy from project inception to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Pitch creative ideas with clarity and confidence to senior stakeholders
  • Guide the creation of storyboards, briefs, and visual assets that reflect current trends and audience insights
  • Mentor and coach creative team members, delegating effectively while maintaining oversight
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent Creative Services in executive-level discussions
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all creative outputs
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and elevate the overall event experience
