Concept Designer

Our large beauty client is seeking a Designer / Art Director with a strong background in beauty packaging to support a leading retail brand's in-house portfolio. This role will focus on fresh, trend-forward ideation - bringing new energy to product lines through thoughtful, culturally aware design concepts.

The role is fully remote and part time, 5-15 hours per week but could increase based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative packaging concepts for beauty products across a portfolio of in-house brands
- Create seasonal, trend-driven design directions including patterns, prints, themes, and visual storytelling
- Contribute to and evolve packaging design systems across product lines
- Bring a strong point of view on current beauty and design trends (inspired by brands like Rhode, Dior, Rare Beauty)
- Support larger product launches and initiatives by refreshing existing packaging and introducing new creative directions
- Collaborate with internal teams to align concepts with brand positioning and go-to-market needs

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in beauty or consumer packaging design
- Strong conceptual and ideation skills with a portfolio showcasing trend-forward work
- Deep understanding of color, pattern, print, and visual storytelling in packaging
- Ability to balance creativity with brand consistency across systems
- Culturally aware and trend-savvy, with a strong eye for emerging aesthetics
- Comfortable working in a flexible, ad hoc environment
