Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Commercial Landscape Construction Estimator to join our in-office team. Our firm is focused on commercial and residential projects.
The position calls for a detail‐oriented estimator skilled in cost management and maintaining accurate pricing records over extended project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Source and procure bid opportunities, plans, and specifications.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and update them as project scopes change.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop and maintain unit price build-ups.
• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Support budget control by identifying cost impacts and savings opportunities.
• Track pricing revisions and maintain organized cost documentation.
• Maintain organized cost logs and pricing revisions throughout multi-year project durations.
• Prepare accurate change order pricing consistent with contract unit rates.
• Assist operations with budget handoff and cost code structure.
• Support ongoing cost tracking for unit-priced work items.
• Review field quantity tracking and production data.
Qualifications
• 7 years of estimating or field experience in commercial landscape construction.
• Knowledge of unit price bidding, public works contracts, change orders, and multi-year cost management
• Unit price bidding
• Change order pricing and documentation
• Multi-year project cost management.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Proficiency in cost analysis and spreadsheet modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication
