Commercial Drywall Estimator (C9)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction management, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates efficiently.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs.
• Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bidding.
• Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
• Support the bidding process by preparing bid packages and responding to inquiries from potential bidders.

Skills

• Proficiency in using estimation software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of cost control techniques to manage budgets efficiently.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in assessing project requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
