Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates efficiently.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs.
- Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bidding.
- Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
- Support the bidding process by preparing bid packages and responding to inquiries from potential bidders.
Skills
- Proficiency in using estimation software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
