Description
Parts Manager Responsibilities:
- Assists all guest (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
- Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Notifies the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered.
- Informs guests of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the guest is exposed to the full product line.
- Keep proper documentation as stipulated by manufacturer and general manager.
- Nurture enthusiastic work environment promoting teamwork with other departments.
- Build repeat/referral business by encouraging service/parts employees to nurture positive relationships with guests.
- Resolve customer complaints, enlisting manufacturer assistance when necessary.
- Handle warranty claims and processing, conforming to warranty guidelines. Explain warranty to the guest..
- Develop programs or procedures to improve profitability.
- Attend manager meetings
- Participates in all training programs that are made available/
- Other task assigned by General Manager.
Requirements
- Automotive Parts experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Previous industry knowledge of overall operations, management and wholesale relations (preferred)
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
