In our state of the art facility our team of talented artists, designers, and framers are able to produce large volumes of custom framed art, shadowboxes, life skill stations, and accessory designs along with creating unique custom fabricated one of a kind pieces. As art consultants, we design art packages that reflect the history, interests, and individual backgrounds of the communities through the art and accessories. Together with artists and photographers we bring the local feel to the space with the use of color, figurative, and historic imagery to help residents with wayfinding as well as evoking memories. Responsibilities - Art Picture Framer

- cutting & joining of wood & metal picture frames

- working with machinery & hand tools

- ability to measure, read a ruler, and be knowledgable with fractions

- knowledge of substrates - canvas, paper, mural material etc.

-operate computerized mat cutter

- Mat artwork

- mounting in heat press

- Cut glass & Plexiglass

- Fit artwork into frames that range from 24" x 36" to 40" x 60" and above

Apply backing and hardware to custom framed products

- hanging hardware types ( regular, frame secure, cleat, cradle etc.)

- simple knowledge in large format printers and handling artwork

- stetching oversized canvases with and without floater frames

- Use sizer to cut down material

- Custom projects can include shadowboxes, custom painted objects, and spray painted work

Art Picture Framer Qualifications

- Basic Mac computer Skills

- Knowledge in labeling systems

- Ability to operate framing equipment

- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching

- ability to stand for periods of time handling material

- lifting heavy boxes(25-40lbs) and frame moulding and accessing products high on ladders

- Load artwork in truck for shipment

Art Picture Framer Job Description

- The position includes joining wood picture frame moulding on a underpinner joining machine. Must have a general knowledge of machinery and safety. This position requires common sense and a good work ethic and attitude. It is fast-paced and is a on-the-go position. Candidates will possess a meticulous attention to detail.

Art, signage, window vinyl and graphic installation experience is a plus.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
