Responsibilities
- Support Manufacturing Engineers with the production process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Oversee parts procurement, including sourcing, negotiating prices, and managing relationships with suppliers.
- Expedite materials and services with vendors and external manufacturers; ensure adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
- Implement and adhere to production schedules, optimizing workflow efficiency and resource utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Follow safety protocols and quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Understand ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and quality assurance, to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in production planning and/or logistics, preferably in a research and development environment. Minimum 2 years of experience, with a preference of 5 or more years.
- Strong understanding of parts procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Experience working with vendors and external manufacturers, preferably in electronics and/or aerospace industries.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong team collaborator and problem-solver.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
