Maintenance Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance team and their work. Key daily duties will be maintaining equipment performance and up time as well as providing direction to a maintenance mechanic. Be a first responder for machinery related production equipment and coordinate with internal customers and other departments to accomplish job duties.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a key player with improving company production quality, safety, and efficiency
• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to accomplish company and departmental goals
• Ensure production equipment is kept in good operational condition
• Develop short- and long-term work schedules for the maintenance team. Ensure PMs are preformed in a timely manner to prevent breakdowns. Work to develop needed PMs and repair techniques.
• Maintain all equipment in good working order. Coordinate with operations team on state of equipment and take actions to correct issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems. Coordinate outside resources when needed to solve issues.
• Develop plans to repair equipment including ordering parts, ensuring needed tools and supplies are available.
• Using FMX and other systems develop and maintain a spare parts inventory such that critical components are on site or available when needed.
•  Work with the Director of Operations and the engineering team to solve production machine related production issues and support new equipment installations.
• Research and suggest new equipment or methods to improve operational performance.
• Conduct 4x4 reviews per company guidelines. Develop and mentor staff, create a team environment that grows the skillset.
• Be able to work on your feet for a full shift, work on or around machinery and equipment, be proficient with material handling and lifting equipment.  
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with internal procedures and safety protocols; comply with applicable OSHA requirements
• Other duties as assigned by manager or Director of Plant Operations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 7 years as an industrial maintenance mechanic or equivalent experience
• 3 Supervisory experience in an industrial environment
• High school diploma/GED, or an equivalent number of years of education and maintenance experience
• Proficiency with computers (Microsoft)
• Have a working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
• Advanced technical, trade, or other training preferred
• Working knowledge LOTO and deenergizing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Experience utilizing CMMS systems a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift and carry up to 60 lbs. to shoulder height
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing.
• Work environment could include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
