Maintenance Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Oversee and supervise all Maintenance activities for the facility to achieve production uptime and yield goals. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Oversee all maintenance activities, including machine and  facility troubleshooting and repair, preventative maintenance, and spare parts management. 

• Develop, maintain, and supervise maintenance staff within budget, including but not limited to scheduling, skill development, disciplinary action, and performance evaluation. 

• Organize and maintain spare parts and materials management system within budget to support maintenance activities, including accurate inventory accounting, sufficient stock quantities, sourcing, and procurement. 

• Develop, maintain, and execute equipment preventative maintenance system, using a CMMS(UpKeep-2023)in coordination with production requirements to achieve machine uptime goals. 

• Identify, procure, and maintain adequate machine tools to support the maintenance activities. 

• Oversee the mechanics are completing assigned work orders. 

• Employee is reponsible for following (and/or implementing/supporting/maintaining) Good Manufacuring Practices, Food Defense, Food Safety and SQF programs.

• Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt well to change.   

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. 

• Must have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment repair situations.  

• Must have prior hands-on mechanical experience. 

• Must have ability to troubleshoot process, mechanical, electrical systems;, PLC programs; motor VFD’s and other electronic systems. 

• Majority of work is done walking, standing, bending, and squatting.  Must be able to climb and work overhead.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.  Must be able to read maintenance manuals and write instructions.
