An established real estate organization is hiring an experienced Student Housing Property Manager to lead the pre-opening, lease-up, and ongoing operations of a brand-new student housing community in Ruston.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who understands student housing operations and can help build the community from the ground up. The selected manager will develop the lease-up strategy, recruit the onsite team, establish university partnerships, oversee property operations, and create an exceptional student resident experience.
Responsibilities Lead all pre-opening and lease-up activities. Recruit, train, coach, and manage the onsite team. Develop pre-leasing strategies and maximize occupancy. Build relationships with nearby universities and local organizations. Oversee leasing, marketing, social media, and resident events. Manage property budgets, expenses, revenue, delinquency, and financial reporting. Monitor maintenance operations, service requests, inspections, and property standards. Create a welcoming and student-focused resident experience. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company procedures. Coordinate vendor relationships, office setup, move-in planning, and opening readiness. Qualifications Three to five years of progressive property management experience. At least two years of leadership or supervisory experience. Direct student housing experience strongly preferred. Lease-up, pre-opening, new development, or stabilization experience strongly preferred. Experience managing budgets, occupancy, delinquency, and property financial performance. Strong leasing, marketing, customer service, and relationship-building abilities. RealPage, Yardi, or similar property management software experience preferred. CAM, CAPS, or a related industry certification is a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
