Our client is seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to lead and support the design of transportation infrastructure projects. This role involves working on roadway rehabilitation, intersections, traffic signals, roundabouts, drainage systems, and multi-use paths while collaborating with internal teams and ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables.
Job Responsibilities: Lead transportation design tasks and mentor junior engineering staff Develop preliminary and final engineering plans and deliverables Design roadway, intersection, traffic signal, roundabout, and drainage projects Coordinate with team members, clients, and stakeholders Apply AASHTO and INDOT standards, procedures, and specifications Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and drafting Perform engineering analysis and apply sound judgment to technical decisions Support utility coordination and local public agency (LPA) project requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months 4–8 years of relevant transportation engineering experience Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Knowledge of INDOT standards, procedures, and specifications Preferred Qualifications: Traffic signal and roundabout design experience Experience with curb ramps, sidewalks, and multi-use paths Drainage design expertise Utility coordination experience,
