We’re seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to oversee underground utility installations while remaining hands-on in the field. This role will lead crews, coordinate daily operations, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise crews installing water mains, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, grades, and project specifications
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain production goals
- Oversee trenching, shoring, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction activities
- Monitor line and grade using laser levels, transits, and GPS equipment
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards on all jobsite activities
- Conduct toolbox talks and maintain safety documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Resolve field issues and maintain quality control standards
- Track daily production progress and crew performance
- Train and mentor field crew members
- 3-7 years of underground utility construction experience
- 2 years in a foreman or leadership role
- Experience with gravity sewer, force main, water distribution, and storm drainage systems
- Ability to read construction drawings and grade stakes
- Knowledge of trench safety, shoring systems, and dewatering methods
- Experience using laser levels, transits, and GPS grade control tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
