You'll collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and external suppliers while supporting customers in aerospace, semiconductor, medical, electronics, and other high-tech industries.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engineering projects from concept and design through prototyping and production.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Estimating, Customer Service, and Production teams.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and outside vendors.
- Oversee bidding, contract negotiations, and project specifications.
- Monitor project costs, timelines, quality, and performance.
- Research new materials, manufacturing equipment, and production processes.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, and project records.
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, feasibility, and performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable regulations.
- 5–7 years of Project Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple engineering projects independently.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to manufacturing quality and continuous improvement.
- Background in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or mold fabrication.
- Experience with Microsoft Project.
- $100,000–$130,000 annual salary, based on experience.
