LITIGATION SECRETARY

This is a fast-paced position supporting a seasoned attorney who manages multiple high-priority litigation matters simultaneously. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and has extensive experience supporting litigation attorneys.
This is a hybrid position following the initial training period. During the first 1–2 months, employees are expected to work onsite full-time.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Generate and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities.
- Electronically file documents in California State and Federal Courts.
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, and scheduling to ensure timely filings.
- Prepare correspondence, case summaries, charts, and other litigation support materials.
- Order, organize, and maintain case files, records, and legal documentation.
- Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals regarding case activity, court filings, and litigation deadlines.
- Attend meetings as needed to take notes and provide administrative support.
- Assist with overflow assignments and provide coverage for other litigation secretaries.
- Successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Previous experience as a Litigation Secretary supporting litigation attorneys is required.
- Plaintiff-side asbestos litigation experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
- Experience with California State and Federal Court electronic filing systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Best Authority, and document management systems.
- Excellent proofreading, word processing, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- College degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.
