Established litigation practice seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Associate to join a growing team handling negligence defense matters throughout NYC and surrounding counties.
Responsibilities
- Manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and discovery responses
- Attend court appearances, hearings, conferences, and mediations
- Work directly with insurance carriers, clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy
- Active New York Bar admission
- 5–7 years of Insurance Defense litigation experience
- Strong negligence defense background
- Deposition experience required
- Trial experience preferred
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage a busy caseload
- $150,000–$200,000 Base Salary
