Summary
Litigation experience required
Our client handles civil matters and other legal proceedings related to creditors’ rights, including drafting legal documents and advising clients on these issues. Attorneys may focus on a specific area of creditors’ rights law or work across multiple areas. Given the nature of the practice, attorneys should expect a high-volume caseload, with a strong focus on short-term crisis management and problem-solving.
Responsibilities: Represent clients in municipal, state, and federal courts, including filings, oral arguments, evidence preparation, and witness examination. Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, contested cases, and appellate work (briefs, oral arguments, client communication). Negotiate with opposing counsel and pro se parties; pursue settlements within client parameters. Advise clients on case strategy, transactions, liability, and legal rights; provide regular updates. Supervise paralegals and legal assistants supporting case management. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations; analyze case outcomes based on precedent. Draft, review, and update legal documents and case management templates. Collaborate with colleagues in specialized areas of law as needed.
Requirements Juris Doctorate degree Admission to the Florida Bar 4-6 years of legal experience as a law clerk or attorney Notary Public strongly preferred Strong attention to detail, organization and prioritization skills Must be able to manage a large portfolio of cases,
