My client is seeking applicants for a Service Technician position on their team! Looking for a great team player with a focus on customer service. The successful candidate will diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles at their customer facilities.
Responsibilities: Professionally represent the company and their manufacturers as a reliable support technician. Repair, diagnose and assist with retail and warranty customer buses at the facility. Perform unscheduled and/or scheduled repairs on Blue Bird and other OEM buses, following manufacturer guidelines and recommendations. Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance when deemed necessary. Respond to work order requests and create repair orders in a timely fashion. Works under the general direction of the Service Manager; however, due to skill set, may not need regular supervision. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: Previous experience in automotive repair, engine repair or other related fields. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment. Ability to handle physical workload. Must provide and maintain tools as specified. Ability to interact positively, constructively and professionally with existing clientele and accounts. May be called on to advise or assist co-workers in more complex repair work. Florida School Bus Inspector Certificate or A.S.E. certification in bus or heavy truck repairs is a PLUS. Diesel engine experience with current certifications, a/c diagnostic and repair experience is a PLUS.
