Seeking an experienced Commercial Suppression Systems Technician with hands-on expertise servicing kitchen hood fire suppression systems. This role is ideal for a technician who can work independently, troubleshoot system issues, and provide reliable service in commercial kitchen and restaurant environments.
What You'll Do
- Install, inspect, test, service, and maintain commercial kitchen hood fire suppression systems
- Diagnose system issues and complete repairs as needed
- Perform work in accordance with FDNY codes, NFPA standards, OSHA requirements, and company procedures
- Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good working condition
- Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures
- 2 years of hands-on experience with commercial kitchen hood suppression systems
- Experience working with Ansul suppression systems
- FDNY Certificate of Fitness S-17
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on restaurant and commercial kitchen schedules
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment
- Experience servicing fire suppression systems in restaurants or commercial kitchens
- Additional experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing commercial fire suppression systems
- $20.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience
- Additional compensation flexibility may be available for highly experienced candidates
- Small sign-on bonus may be considered for qualified relocation candidates
