Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing and serving beverages to guests
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and guest preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses and utensils
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol
- Handle cash transactions, operate cash register, and process payments accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
- Upsell additional products when appropriate
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Knowledge of various drink recipes and the ability to mix cocktails accurately
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, calculating bills, and making change
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for order processing and payment handling
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during busy periods or challenging situations
- Knowledge of catering and banquet operations is a plus
