Cranshaw is seeking a Senior Superintendent to join our team. In this role you will proudly represent Cranshaw and be responsible for all job site activities. The ideal candidate is well-rounded in all phases of construction and capable of managing a variety of construction types, including the ability to simultaneously oversee multiple smaller projects.
This individual must be team-oriented, self-motivated, reliable, organized, and committed to doing what it takes to ensure successful project outcomes. The Senior Superintendent must be comfortable working autonomously while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners. This role requires the ability to direct, motivate, and mentor others while fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative jobsite environment.
The successful candidate will be fully invested in understanding every aspect of the projects they oversee, making sound day-to-day decisions and exercising strong judgment to keep work progressing safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities
· Administer and enforce the Company and project-specific safety programs
· Proactively identify, assess, and correct jobsite safety hazards
· Develop, implement, and maintain NFPA 241 plans, Emergency Action Plans, Construction Management Plans, and related safety documentation
· Develop, execute, and maintain the project schedule to meet milestones and deadlines
· Manage subcontractor performance with respect to safety, quality, and productivity
· Supervise company staff and third-party labor resources
· Manage project documentation and ensure all required reporting is completed accurately and on time
· Serve as the primary point of contact with Owners, Design Professionals, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
· Oversee and enforce project quality standards
· Collaborate with Project Management to control project costs and support financial objectives
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, facilities management, engineering or related field preferred
· 10 years of experience in commercial construction projects exceeding $20M, preferably in Cranshaw’s core markets of multi-family residential, mixed-use, office, or lab/life science
· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore or similar), Bluebeam, scheduling software (MS Project or similar), modeling software a plus
· Minimum OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License, Boston Builders License, NFPA Hot Work Certificate and NFPA Fire Prevention Program Manager Certification and Passive House Certification
· Superior communications (written and verbal), and inter-personal skills
· Highly organized and with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan and manage time well, prioritizing critical path constructability issues
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
· Ability to work outdoors or jobsite environment
· Use of PPE as required
