What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Analysts position at Crane Worldwide Logistics?
Essential Job Functions
- Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and leave programs)
- Manage enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS/benefits systems
- Coordinate with vendors and brokers to ensure smooth plan operations
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends
- Prepare reports and dashboards for HR leadership and finance teams
- Support budgeting and forecasting for benefits expenses
- Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA)
- Assist with audits, filings, and required reporting (e.g., 5500 forms)
- Maintain accurate documentation and plan records
- Vendor Management
- Act as a liaison between the organization and benefits providers
- Evaluate vendor performance and assist in contract renewals
- Support RFP processes and vendor selection
- Employee Support & Communication
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits coverage and claims
- Develop and distribute benefits communication materials
- Support open enrollment processes, including education sessions
- Program Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve benefits offerings and employee experience
- Benchmark benefits against industry standards
- Recommend cost-saving strategies without compromising quality
- Other duties as assigned
Other Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel/data analysis skills preferred
- Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Physical Requirements
- Job will require punctual attendance and regular presence on-site at the assigned work location
- Relocation assistance is not offered for this position
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred
- 3 years of experience in benefits administration or HR analytics
- Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms
