As the National Sales Manager for our Municipal market segment, you'll lead commercial initiatives that directly impact revenue growth, market expansion, and customer engagement across North America. This highly visible role combines strategic planning, channel leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our Municipal business while helping municipalities, engineers, distributors, and contractors solve critical wastewater and water management challenges.
What You'll Do
- Lead sales strategy and growth initiatives for the Municipal market segment.
- Develop and execute plans that drive profitable organic growth and expand market share.
- Build, evaluate, and strengthen distributor and representative channel partnerships.
- Lead and develop Municipal Sales Engineers and SITHE Technical Trainers.
- Improve sales effectiveness, forecasting, account management practices, and channel performance.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute multi-year strategic plans.
- Gather and leverage Voice of Customer insights to identify market opportunities and drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to assess competitive offerings and support new product development initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing to develop product training, positioning, and promotional materials.
- Support pricing strategies, portfolio management, market analysis, and growth planning.
- Resolve customer and channel challenges while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.

- Improving forecasting accuracy, sales discipline, and commercial effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of driving growth.
- Experience developing business through distribution channels, manufacturer representatives, or similar sales networks.
- Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and market development.
- Proven ability to achieve ambitious growth objectives and deliver measurable results.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and customer-focused mindset.
- Independent thinker with resilience, energy, and leadership presence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous people leadership experience.
- Experience within the municipal wastewater, water infrastructure, pump, flow control, or industrial equipment industries.
- Experience working with consulting engineers, municipalities, contractors, and channel partners.
- Familiarity with product management, new product development, and go-to-market strategy.
