Recycling Parts Washer (System One) Service Technician
Put Your Mechanical Skills to Work in the Field

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined System One Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, repair, and install recycling parts washer systems at customer locations.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who enjoys figuring out how things work, solving problems, working independently, and interacting with customers. You'll spend much of your day on the road servicing equipment at automotive and industrial facilities, with support from our Operations team.

If you're comfortable with tools, have good mechanical instincts, and don't want to spend every day doing the exact same thing in the exact same place, this may be a great fit.

What You'll Do:
Service & Repair Equipment:
  • Perform routine service on System One recycling parts washer units.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and make necessary repairs.
  • Deliver, install, and set up equipment for new customers.
  • Use hand tools, electrical test equipment, and other service tools to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Keep company tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Handle solvents and waste solvents in accordance with company procedures and applicable environmental regulations.
Work Directly With Customers:
  • Provide professional, friendly service at customer locations.
  • Explain completed service and discuss equipment issues with customers when needed.
  • Communicate customer concerns or equipment problems to your supervisor.
  • Represent the company professionally while working at customer facilities.
Drive & Maintain Your Service Vehicle:
  • Safely operate a non-CDL service truck under 26,000 lbs.
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Maintain required vehicle and service logs.
Keep Accurate Service Records:
  • Complete service paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
  • Prepare bills of lading, manifests, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding daily service activities and scheduling.
Support Operations:
  • Assist with loading and unloading the service vehicle.
  • Work with the Operations team as needed.
  • Occasionally assist with other shop or operational activities.

What We're Looking For:
You don't need to know everything about a System One parts washer on day one. You do need to be mechanically capable, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable troubleshooting problems.

Successful candidates should have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using common hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills.
  • Ability to use a volt-ohm meter (VOM) for basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of pumps, air pressure, and vacuum systems.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to complete service paperwork accurately.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Experience servicing mechanical, automotive, industrial, electrical, pumping, or fluid-handling equipment is a plus.

What the Work Is Like:
This isn't a desk job. You'll work at automotive service and repair shops, industrial facilities, and other customer locations. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors and may involve heat, cold, humidity, dust, mist, oil, and normal shop conditions.

The position includes driving between customer locations and may require several hours of driving during a workday.

Technicians must be able to:
  • Stand for extended periods while servicing equipment.
  • Push or pull parts washer units using pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools.
  • Kneel, squat, bend, reach, and occasionally work in awkward positions while troubleshooting equipment.
  • Perform the lifting, pushing, and pulling normally associated with servicing and installing parts washer equipment.
  • Safely enter, exit, and operate a service vehicle throughout the workday.

A Good Fit for Someone Who:
Enjoys fixing things. Likes solving problems. Can work without someone standing over their shoulder. Treats customers well. Takes care of their truck and tools. And understands that doing the job right matters.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and capabilities.
