Assistant Landscape Project Manager

Job Description: The Assistant Project Manager will support the project Manager in overseeing the various landscape and construction projects from ideation to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with excellent communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate will be hands on, have a passion for landscape design and construction, and not afraid of getting their hands dirty on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing all phases of landscape and construction projects.
• Coordinate with customers to understand project requirements and communicate project updates.
• Supervise and assist teams in on-site work to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, adjusting as necessary to meet project goals.
• Monitor call-backs and make changes as necessary.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including work orders, change orders and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits to inspect work quality and resolve any issues that arise.
• Assist in sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers for best prices and quality.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape construction.
• Construction Supervisor’s License is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), CRM, and project management software.
• Knowledge of landscaping and construction techniques, materials and best practices.
• Knowledge of excavating, asphalt, and irrigation is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Valid MA Hoisting Engineer’s license a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects (over 50lbs).
