Job Overview:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within Production and Packaging functions with our client. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant processing of refrigerants, oils, and related products while meeting production goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Production Manager plays a key leadership role in workforce management, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across all production-related areas.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily production and packaging operations
- Ensure production schedules are met in alignment with customer demand
- Coordinate production requirements for refrigerants, oils, and glycols
- Ensure all production lines are properly staffed and supplied
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed
Leadership & Workforce Management
- Supervise Production Supervisors, Leads, and hourly employees
- Manage staffing levels, including coordination with the Personnel Manager for temporary labor
- Lead employee training, development, and performance management
- Address employee concerns, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures
- Oversee proper handling and storage of refrigerants and hazardous materials
- Ensure all employees are trained on safety, compliance, and job-specific procedures
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and support the company’s quality management system
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions as needed
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations
Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate inventory control and reporting
- Coordinate movement of materials between production and storage
- Work closely with accounting and logistics for reporting and reconciliation
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Logistics, and Purchasing to meet production needs
- Communicate production status and potential issues to leadership
- Support company goals and operational planning initiatives
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly oversees production personnel
- Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensures compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
