Position: Sales Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA Area (Hybrid)

Salary: $100K-$120K plus commission $15K-$30K


Our client is seeking an ambitious and relationship-driven Sales Engineer to help drive strategic growth across key industrial markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on developing new business, building trusted client partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions that create long-term value.


In this role, you'll work closely with clients, engineering teams, and company leadership to identify opportunities, develop winning strategies, and convert prospects into lasting business relationships. What You'll Do

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within targeted industries and market segments.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans that support company growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales and revenue goals.


Client Relationship Management

  • Develop trusted relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Understand customer needs and provide consultative solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Support project estimating, technical alignment, and contract approval processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve business performance, and mitigate risk.


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of successful sales and business development experience in industrial, manufacturing, automation, or related environments.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience working with contracts, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Background in engineering, technical sales, project management, or industrial automation.
  • Existing relationships within life sciences, manufacturing, food processing, chemical, or industrial markets.
  • Experience utilizing consultative sales methodologies such as Sandler.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
