What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect / Architectural Associate position at Craftstone Architects, Inc.?
We are seeking an Architectural Associate / Drafter / Architect to assist with our single family residential projects and to grow within our company. The Ideal candidate for this position would have at least 0 to 5 years of residential drafting experience and must be self-motivated, creative, able to take direction, have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy a small office environment. Applicants should be proficient in AutoCAD, Word and Excel. Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture and Sketch-up a plus. Work experience in Residential (New & Remodel) projects is preferred. Work experience in Commercial (New & Remodel) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- To take residential projects from concept to construction under the guidance of a staff Architect including design development and construction document preparation.
- Be a Creative individual able to take ideas from the staff Architect and our clients and build on them to create unique and exciting designs.
- Be a team oriented person.
- Complete detailed Building and zoning checks and have good understanding of interpreting these codes.
- Communicate with and coordinate drawings with Civil, MEP and Structural Engineering consultants.
- Work closely with staff, builders and clients to gather design requirements and develop drawings for construction.
- Create detailed drawings with AutoCAD Architecture.
- Ensure final designs comply with local codes, builder/owner requirements and our and quality standards.
This is a full time position in office (no remote work), M-F.
Compensation: Salary to be based on experience plus health insurance & Retirement with match.
