We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, siding, roofing, and fixture installation.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install various wood construction materials including cabinetry, doors, windows, and moldings.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration tasks.
- Operate woodworking machines safely for fabrication and custom woodwork projects.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, metal stud framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and remodeling projects.
- Follow safety protocols for power tool operation including power tool safety standards; maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support restoration industry projects such as mold remediation or water damage repair as needed.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical work, HVAC components, or other trades under supervision to ensure project cohesion.
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, siding panels, or other building components according to specifications.
- Contribute to the fabrication of custom parts using CNC machinery or manual techniques when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry roles with a solid understanding of residential or commercial building processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools for woodworking and construction tasks.
- Familiarity with woodworking machines and fabrication techniques; experience with metal stud framing is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction estimating procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and demanding physical activities on-site.
- Commitment to safety practices including power tool safety standards; ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces if needed.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors or project managers.
- Valid driver’s license preferred; reliable transportation is essential for job site access.
