Role Overview: Area Sales Manager

We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Area Sales Manager to grow Craft Standard’s presence across your assigned territory. This role is ideal for an early-career sales professional who understands the beverage world and thrives in fast-paced, high-volume account environments. You’ll work closely with wholesalers, venue partners, and key on-premise accounts to drive velocity, expand distribution, and execute programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a territory sales plan to grow distribution, volume, and visibility of Craft Standard.
  • Build strong relationships with distributor partners, on-premise accounts, and venue operators.
  • Execute ride-withs, staff trainings, product samplings, and menu/program sell-ins.
  • Identify, secure, and onboard high-traffic venues (stadiums, arenas, music venues, large bars, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate account records, reports, and forecasting.
  • Handle and transport product, POS materials, sample bottles, and kegs as needed (must be able to lift up to 60 lbs).
  • Travel 2 weeks per month for meetings, market work, events, and venue activations.


Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of experience in beverage, alcohol, or distributor sales (required).
  • Strong understanding of the on-premise landscape; experience working in or selling to large venues is a plus.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Nashville, TN (for territory needs).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a large, multi-state territory.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to lift, move, and set up 70 lb kegs and equipment.
