What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Personnel Assistant position at CR Meyer?
The Field Personnel Assistant contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers through supporting the day-to-day activities of CR Meyer’s skilled union trades people based out of the Oshkosh, WI, headquarters. Responsible for coordination of field personnel, job assignments, training requirements, etc.
- Oversees the field person onboarding program, following up with new employees to ensure their onboarding information is accurate and complete.
- Initializes new employees into payroll and ensures they are properly set-up in the payroll system in an accurate, timely manner.
- Works cooperatively with Payroll and/or HR on maintaining accurate field person information in Viewpoint. Performs routine data entry/updates as needed.
- Stays up-to-date on current and future construction projects through open communication with CR Meyer staff; participates in weekly project, manpower and pre-project meetings.
- Coordinates the overall administration of the drug and alcohol program, including but not limited to: overseeing clinic relationships, maintaining accurate testing records, related communications, reviewing and coding invoices, acting as a resource for questions, etc.
- As requested, assists with time entry and expense sheet completion for field employees that attend training.
- Leads by personal example and is a strong advocate for the CR Meyer Mission-Vision-Values and Code of Conduct.
- Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
- Due to business demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
- Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Previous labor relations experience in a construction or a similar setting preferred.
- Ability to learn and utilize CR Meyer’s computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Viewpoint.
- Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States, without employer sponsorship.
