Job Title: Office Administrator – Accounting Firm (Part-Time)

Pay: $18/hour to start
Hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Friday 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
(25–30 hrs/week; hours increase during tax season)
Job Summary:
We are a busy accounting firm seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable communicating with clients, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role directly supports our tax and payroll team.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and respond to client emails professionally
- Check out clients and assist with billing/payment processing
- Assemble and prepare completed tax return packets
- Respond to basic tax and payroll questions (training provided)
- Manage and organize digital and paper files
- Assist with data entry and bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks & Excel
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting or office administration
- Dependable, organized, and able to maintain confidentiality
- This role requires someone who takes initiative — if you need constant direction, this position will not be a good fit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks (bonus, not required)
- Accounting, tax office, or payroll experience a plus
