Job Title: Office Administrator – Accounting Firm (Part-Time)

Location: Logan, Utah
Pay: $18/hour to start
Hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Friday 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
(25–30 hrs/week; hours increase during tax season)

Job Summary:
We are a busy accounting firm seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable communicating with clients, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role directly supports our tax and payroll team.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and respond to client emails professionally
  • Check out clients and assist with billing/payment processing
  • Assemble and prepare completed tax return packets
  • Respond to basic tax and payroll questions (training provided)
  • Manage and organize digital and paper files
  • Assist with data entry and bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks & Excel

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting or office administration
  • Dependable, organized, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • This role requires someone who takes initiative — if you need constant direction, this position will not be a good fit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QuickBooks (bonus, not required)
  • Accounting, tax office, or payroll experience a plus
