- Conduct sensory evaluations of food products to assess key attributes for New Product Development (NPD) and product excellence initiatives.
- Organize, train, and manage sensory panels to ensure consistent, accurate, and dependable data collection.
- Analyze and interpret sensory data to provide actionable insights that support product development and drive product quality improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams - primarily Marketing - to align sensory objectives with overall product strategy.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance sensory evaluation methods for improved efficiency and precision.
- Stay current with sensory science methodologies and industry trends to continuously refine evaluation practices.
- Communicate sensory results to food scientists and other stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Balance sensory testing responsibilities with project management and administrative tasks.
- Track R&D budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Contribute to new product development efforts within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Assess and refine R&D administrative workflow to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry developments and competitor activities.
