Well-established industrial manufacturing organization is hiring a Plant Purchasing Manager who will take ownership of procurement across two production sites (NW Indiana and SW Ohio). This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with plant operations, suppliers, and leadership to ensure materials and services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and without disruption to production. This role is especially well-suited for someone who has supported both plant operations, with exposure to capital projects, construction, or broader operational office procurement needs.

What this individual will be doing:
- Own day-to-day procurement for raw materials and services across two plants
- Partner closely with operations to align purchasing with production needs
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, terms, and performance
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle (requisition through PO and delivery)
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify savings opportunities
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and service levels; lead issue resolution
- Analyze spend data and support strategic sourcing initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and corporate procurement
- Support ERP system processes and purchasing-related reporting
- Experience in plant-based or manufacturing procurement
- Background supporting Indirect office services and materials, as well as construction/project-based purchasing
- Experience purchasing raw materials, MRO, and services
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Ability to operate both tactically and strategically
- Experience working cross-functionally with plant and project teams
- Comfortable analyzing spend and driving cost improvements
- ERP experience (Oracle preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- High visibility across plant leadership and corporate procurement
