As The Plant Engineering Manager, job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Directly supervise all resources in the maintenance and act as the Maintenance Manager
- Analyze/plan maintenance work force utilization, predictive/preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Owner, accountable for all plant assets; responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the capital budget and the maintenance
- Function as a project manager for capital projects
- Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure project plans and work in progress will meet desired outcomes
- Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
- Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepare engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection
- Develop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing controls and automation utilizing knowledge of instrumentation, controls & automation, product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
- 5 years plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience in specialty chemicals, chemicals, refining, paper manufacturing, or similar industries
- Exposure to Programmable Logic Control, Distributive Process Controls Systems (DeltaV), HMI and Automation control systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated record of leadership, teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility and the company
- Experience in executing pillars of total productive maintenance (TPM)
- Engineer in Training Certification or PE would be ideal
Salary : $150,000
