Ventura County Transportation Commission is recruiting an Accounting Technician who will perform complex, paraprofessional accounting work in the preparation and maintenance of accounting, financial, and fiscal records. Essential duties include maintaining manual and/or automated systems, monitoring and reconciling financial data, making journal entries, preparing trial balances, and reconciling bank statements and ledgers.

The ideal candidate shall possess two (2) OR more years of accounting experience, preferably in a public or municipal organization, and an associate degree in accounting, finance, or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
A combination of accounting college level coursework and related work experience will be considered.
