Transformation Application Developer
📍 Location: Downtown New York City, NY
🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

About the Role
Join the NYC IT Project Management Office (PMO) and help build innovative workflow applications that power critical city operations—from permitting and inspections to roadway and bridge maintenance. We’re looking for a Lead Systems Developer with deep expertise in .NET technologies and a passion for creating scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop applications using .NET 4.8, ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, and related frameworks.
- Build responsive web interfaces with MVC5/MVVM, Razor, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, Backbone).
- Develop and manage relational databases in SQL Server 2019/Azure SQL.
- Implement secure authentication and role-based access control.
- Collaborate with analysts, QA teams, and developers throughout the SDLC.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control.
What We’re Looking For
âś… Mandatory:
- 8 years in application development, data analysis, and software implementation.
- Strong experience with Microsoft .NET stack, SQL Server, and web services.
âś… Preferred:
- BA/BS in Technology or related field.
- Microsoft Certified Professional, AWS/Azure certifications.
- GIS mapping experience (ESRI ArcGIS, Mapbox).
- Prior government project experience.
Special Requirements
- Must work on-site in Downtown NYC.
- Maximum 35 hours/week; no overtime or paid leave.
- 6468 Hours Estimated at 1820 Hours per Year
- NYC will retain option to Hire from Contract to Permanent for USA Citizen or Green Card Holders Only.
