Job Summary
CPGIO is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Financial Data Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our financial data infrastructure and reporting systems. This role owns the architecture, automation, and reliability of critical financial and operational reporting across sales, profitability, inventory, reconciliation, and executive analytics.
You’ll play a key role in improving visibility into business performance while helping scale the company’s reporting and data capabilities.

What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain financial data pipelines and reporting infrastructure
- Integrate and normalize data across ERP, ecommerce, warehouse, and operational systems
- Support critical financial reporting including GL, profitability, AP/AR, inventory, COGS, and revenue reporting
- Build executive KPI dashboards and forecasting datasets
- Improve automation and reduce manual reconciliation workflows
- Ensure reporting accuracy, data governance, and audit readiness
- Develop scalable reporting systems with strong uptime and reliability
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Leadership teams
- Support AI-enabled analytics and intelligent reporting initiatives
- Help improve overall operational visibility and business intelligence capabilities
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or financial systems
- Strong SQL and data modeling experience
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and reporting systems
- Strong understanding of accounting workflows, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle Financials
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Metabase
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Python, R, or Node.js experience
- PostgreSQL or MySQL experience
- Ecommerce, retail, marketplace, or supply chain experience
- API integrations and cloud-based data infrastructure
- AI-assisted analytics, automation, or modern data stack technologies
Schedule & Environment
- Onsite: Monday–Thursday
- Remote: Friday
- Collaborative environment working closely with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 – $120,000 base salary (based on experience)
