Part-time Prosthodontist

About the Role:
The Prosthodontist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues. Your expertise will be critical in restoring and replacing teeth through prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants, thereby significantly improving patients' quality of life. You will collaborate closely with other dental specialists and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. This role demands a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while staying current with advancements in prosthodontics and related dental fields. Ultimately, your work will enhance both the functional and aesthetic aspects of patients' oral health, contributing to their overall well-being and confidence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of an accredited prosthodontics residency program.
- Valid state dental license to practice prosthodontics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in prosthodontic procedures and patient care.
- Strong knowledge of dental materials, oral anatomy, and restorative techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certification in prosthodontics.
- Experience with cosmetic dentistry procedures and teeth whitening treatments.
- Familiarity with oral surgery and endodontic procedures to support comprehensive care.
- Training or experience in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics to address diverse patient populations.
- Continuing education certifications or advanced training in digital dentistry and implantology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including oral examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic imaging to determine appropriate prosthodontic treatment plans.
- Design, fabricate, and fit dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants to restore oral function and aesthetics.
- Perform complex restorative procedures including implant placement and maxillofacial prosthetics when necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary dental and medical teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, prosthesis maintenance, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
- Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and technologies in prosthodontics and related dental specialties.
- Manage patient records meticulously and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
