High Point School is currently looking for a Special Education Math Teacher who holds a Math Certification and TOSD, (OR a Special Education Teacher with TOH) who is well-versed in algebra, and is committed to enriching students of different ages and academic levels. As a special education teacher at High Point School, you will be responsible for providing specialized learning experiences and supervision of special education students in a supportive and positive classroom environment in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEP).

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall welfare of each individual student during the school day. Designs, implements and evaluates an educational program appropriate to each student's individual needs. Supervises, schedules and provides instruction for teaching assistants. Maintains regular communication with families and/or guardians, the Principal, clinical staff and other staff to ensure goals and objectives of all IEP plans are being met.

Requirements

  • Must hold a High School Math Certification and TOSD, OR a Special Education Teacher with a TOH
  • Experience teaching math to high school students
  • Must have experience working with students ages 13-21. At least 2 years of teaching art experience preferred.
