Outdoor Rec/Climbing Wall GAA The Athletic and Fitness Center is looking for and individual with exceptional leadership qualities; must be highly organized, posses positive interpersonal skills The Outdoor Rec/Climbing Wall GAA will work with the other GAAs in the department as a team to develop innovative and creative programs that enhance and promote wellness on campus. Each position will be responsible for an area and will include supervision of the climbing wall employees. This position will collaborate with the AFC Managers and professional staff around training employees, events, etc. and other duties assigned by the supervisor for this position. Responsibilities of the Position Attention to detail is imperative. Manage the promotion of the (OR) & Climbing Wall activities via conventional & electrical method. Website updates such as pictures & stories of the outdoor recreational/climbing wall activities. Responsible for oversight and management of climbing wall student (undergraduate) staff. Completing other duties as assigned by the supervisor for this position. Student staff must participate in online and in person training sessions provided by the Career Development Office The position is in-person and hours vary per week depending on availability in relation to building hours. Nights and weekends are required. You will be asked to meet in person at least once per semester. There is a Dress code/uniform will be required for this position. All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year. Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
