Carson the Cougar The Athletic and Fitness Center is looking for an energetic person to take on the position of Carson the Cougar. This position is expected to attend and participate in promotional events for Athletics as well as for the University at large. This position will mingle with attendees of these events and represent the University. This position will also work with the Cheerleading head coach and athletic administrative staff to help plan and implement promotional and marketing activities to promote the athletics program. Responsibilities of the Position: Attention to detail is imperative. Attend athletic tailgates and other athletic promotional events. Attend and participate in University promotional events - on and off campus. Go to University fining areas to bring awareness for various events. Be "on call" for university events such as parents and alumni weekends. Completing other duties assigned by the supervisor for this position. Student staff must participate in online and in person training sessions provided by the Career Development Office. The position is in-person and hours vary per week depending on availability in relation to building hours. Nights and weekends are required. You will be asked to meet in person at least once per semester. There is a Dress code/uniform that will be required for this position. All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year. Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
