Cozzini has a great opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance Team!
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform month-end and year end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
- Calculation of reserve requirements for bad debt, warranty, vacation and inventory obsolescence
- Capitalization of inventory cost variances calculation
- Calculating project revenue in accordance with POC revenue recognition pronouncement
- Performing month-end close for equipment projects, plant operations and inventory
- Monthly reporting upload to our corporate parent
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Analyzing and reporting project and operating cost variances
- Maintaining and reporting sales order intake and backlog reports
- Maintaining the integrity of our inventory costs
- Performing specific cost analysis and searching out cost savings opportunities
- Assist in AP and AR if the circumstance requires
- Managing all facets of the sales tax function
- Active participation in the ERP system implementation
- Any other Accounting Dept activities and special projects as requested by Management

Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a staff accounting function (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Needs to be a hands-on person
- Aptitude for mainframe software systems
- Must be proficient with latest version of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, etc) and Microsoft Outlook
- Possess: strong organizational skills, effective follow-up discipline and operating without close supervision
- Maintain strict confidentiality of business information
- Must be able to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines,
- Must be flexible to adapt to rapidly changing priorities (i.e. able to quickly re-prioritize and change directions when the situation demands).
- Ability to Research and analyze complex problems and develop an optimal approach for resolution.
- Attention to detail, perform self-review of finished work and maintain high quality standards
Salary : $65,000 - $90,000
