Summary
The Wound Care Clinician provides acute and rehabilitative care for people with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The Wound Care Clinician also provides direct patient care to people with fistulas, drains, tubes, pressure ulcers, and incontinence in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Cozad Community Health System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Performs patient care to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes according to their scope of practice.
· Performs tissue application, debridement, deep tissue debridement, I & D, biopsy, suture, and nail removal.
· Collaborates with appropriate Medical Staff, management, and other healthcare team members to coordinate and manage the plan of care for patients as needed.
· Performs and maintains documentation.
· Participates in ongoing and systematic quality improvement efforts while providing quality healthcare services to all patients in a financially responsible manner.
· Ensures adequate documentation and accurate charge capturing for Chargemaster.
· Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures patient safety.
· Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
· Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
PA-C, APRN, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, or professional degree in medicine from an accredited medical school. Prior wound, ostomy and electronic health records experience required.
Licensure/Certification
Current Physical Therapy License, NP, PA, or APRN licensure in the State of Nebraska
Basic Life Support (CPR)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
