The Senior Specialist supports operational compliance across payroll, scheduling, and workforce practices for the Luxury Method business. Reporting to the Sr. Operations Excellence Manager, this role monitors audit activity, identifies compliance risks, reviews timekeeping and scheduling data, partners with internal teams to resolve issues, and helps ensure timely completion of state-specific labor and training requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Performance, Accountability & Leadership

  • Monitor payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling activity to identify compliance risks and operational exceptions.
  • Review audit findings, identify trends, and escalate issues requiring corrective action or leadership visibility.
  • Act as a cross-functional partner with People & Culture (P&C), Safety, Payroll, and field teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate compliance and HR-related issues; support P&C in the effective handling of employee relations matters.
  • Identify overlapping shifts, concurrent assignments, unconfirmed shifts, and other scheduling conflicts that may create wage and hour risk.
  • Maintain accurate records and support audit documentation to ensure tracking tools remain current and reliable.
  • Track open items to confirm required actions are completed and properly documented.
  • Build working knowledge of front-office operations, systems, and reporting tools that support compliance monitoring.

Weekly Audits and Reporting

  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance audits across assigned programs, with a focus on payroll, wage and hour, and scheduling requirements.
  • Review timekeeping and scheduling data for late timesheets, meal break violations, split shifts, missed premium pay indicators, and same-day multi-location work requiring travel review.
  • Coordinate outreach to employees regarding late timesheets, meal break violations, day-of-rest concerns, and other required compliance notifications.
  • Support state-required reporting and training compliance outreach and tracking in covered jurisdictions; coordinate related reporting and pay file follow-up as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute recurring compliance reports, document findings, and escalate unresolved or high-risk items to the Sr. Operations Excellence Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in compliance, payroll, auditing, HR operations, workforce administration, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of timekeeping, scheduling, wage and hour, and operational compliance practices.
  • Ability to analyze reports, identify patterns and exceptions, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage recurring deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional follow-up with employees, clients, and internal teams.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting multi-state compliance programs or high-volume workforce operations.
  • Exposure to staffing, field operations, or client-facing workforce environments.
  • Experience using workforce management, payroll, or reporting systems to audit compliance activities.
